The county of West Sussex is located in the South region of England. West Sussex shares borders with the counties of East Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey. The county town of West Sussex is Chichester and the two largest towns in the county are Crawley and Worthing.

Other main towns in West Sussex include Bognor Regis, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Horsham, Littlehampton and Lancing. West Sussex is divided up into seven districts which consist of Worthing, Arun, Chichester, Horsham, Crawley, Mid Sussex and Adur.
